About The Position
SafeStart CDL's paid training program is one of the only programs in NYC that pays you to become a licensed school bus driver. This 8-week structured program includes intensive but manageable full days of classroom instruction, yard training, and road work designed to get you licensed fast. Upon successful completion of the road test and background checks, you will be guaranteed employment to start your career.
Requirements
- Must be able to attend full days of training.
- Must pass background checks.
- Must pass road test.
Responsibilities
- Complete 8-week structured training program including classroom instruction, yard training, and road work.
- Prepare for and obtain Passenger (P) endorsement.
- Prepare for and obtain School Bus (S) endorsement, including training on student management, emergency evacuation, and route compliance.
- Pass road test and background checks to secure employment.
