About The Position

ADESA, a Carvana owned company, is seeking a CDL Tow Truck Driver to join their Transportation/Logistics team. This role is responsible for the pickup and delivery of customer vehicles. ADESA operates over 50 locations across the US, providing a wide array of vehicle services. The company emphasizes a collaborative, "we" versus "I" culture and is experiencing significant growth and investment. This position reports to the Operations Manager or a designated manager. The ideal candidate will prioritize safe driving, maintain a clean driving record, and effectively communicate with customers and team members. Responsibilities include completing condition reports, DOT safety inspections, and maintaining a DOT Driver log.

Requirements

High School or GED required
Maintain a clean driving record and have a Class B CDL with Airbrake Endorsement
Experience with a 4 car hauler equipped with air brakes
Must be able to drive vehicles with either standard or automatic transmissions
Effective customer relations, communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug screen and a background check
Must be 18 years of age

Nice To Haves

Previous DOT driving experience preferred

Responsibilities

Safely and efficiently pick up and deliver customer vehicles
Load and unload customer vehicles
Prioritize safe driving and maintain a clean driving record in accordance with Carvana’s Commercial Motor Vehicle Driver Qualification Policy. Consistent, and safe driving is crucial for this role.
Complete condition reports and complete paperwork related to the pick up and delivery of the vehicle
Communicate with customers to verify vehicle information and condition of vehicles
Maintain good flow of communication with all team members and practice good teamwork
Perform safety inspections as required by DOT, and maintain a DOT Driver log
