About The Position

This role involves instructing students on the proper techniques for operating commercial vehicles and related equipment. The instructor will deliver pre-planned lessons, monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and ensure adherence to all company and regulatory policies. The position requires setting a positive example for students and performing other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Class A CDL for 3 plus years with clean MVR and criminal record.
• Knowledge of DOT and FMSCA requirements
• Possess Strong Written and Oral communication skills

Responsibilities

• Deliver planning lessons prepared by management daily
• Give Clear and concise lessons on driving to students
• Instruct and Monitor students when using company equipment, to include maintaining a 3-point contact when entering and exiting the vehicle, Drop/Hook trailers from tractor, Slide Trailer Tandems, Pulling 5th wheel Pin & hood on tractor, Dolly up and Down trailer, Teach proper Open & Closing of trailer doors, and Backing
• Perform road evaluations and pretests
• Observe and Evaluate student’s performance to ensure they are developing at a steady pace
• Monitor the progress of students you are accountable for and provide feedback to Management on students work and progress
• Keep Accurate records of student’s progress and keep updated as required by law, school, and company policy
• Adhere to School/Company policies, rules, and regulations-MUST SET THE EXAMPLE!
• Other duties as assigned by management
