About The Position

Alan Ritchey, Inc. is a family-owned company with more than 60 years of service. We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies. This is a full-time position based in the Atlanta, GA area, with OTR positions available for SOLO drivers. Routes will be in the central US, with no east or west coast trips. The company offers modern equipment, including 2024–2025 Freightliner Cascadias with state-of-the-art safety technologies. Drop and hook, with 90% no-touch cargo. Dispatch and maintenance personnel are available 24/7. A passenger ride-along program is available for approved human passengers, but pets are not permitted.

Requirements

Have a CDL.
No felony charges or pending felony charges in the last 7 years.

You may take the truck home if you live within 50 miles of Dayton.

Responsibilities

Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently over long distances.
Drive routes to deliver freight on time and in excellent condition to designated locations while ensuring compliance with traffic laws and safety regulations.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle inspections, any incidents that occur during transport.
Submit all PODs and BOLs electronically promptly.
Conduct pre-trip, in-route and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and functionality.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and support staff regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
Adhere to all company policies regarding safety protocols and procedures as well as federal/state transportation laws regarding commercial driving.
