About The Position

Waste Connections is looking for a safety-conscious CDL Route Driver to join our growing team in Erie, Colorado. This position offers competitive pay with overtime and eligibility for safety bonuses. Requirements

Valid Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement.
Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English.
Basic knowledge of truck components to complete pre- and post-trip inspections.
Ability to work Monday – Friday with some Saturdays, approximately 50-55 hours a week.
Must be 21 years of age or older to operate a commercial vehicle.

Nice To Haves

Waste experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a garbage truck on specified routes to collect solid waste.
Read route sheets and service each customer identified on the sheet or assigned by the dispatcher.
Perform routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles, including checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires.
Load and unload refuse, at times without assistance.
Operate hydraulic hand controls to lift/load refuse and dispose of trash at designated facilities.
Interact courteously with customers.
Perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
