About The Position
If you enjoy being out in the community, staying active, and driving heavy-duty automated or side-load equipment, this is the job for you! GFL Environmental is looking for a CDL Residential Driver to join our Wilson team. You'll serve as a frontline hero in our neighborhood streets, ensuring neighborhoods stay clean, safe, and green.
Requirements
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL Class A or B).
- 1+ years of CDL driving experience.
- Ability to step in and out of the cab frequently and lift up to 50 lbs when necessary.
- Excellent spatial awareness for driving down tight residential streets and near parked vehicles.
- Valid work authorization in the country where the job is located is required.
Nice To Haves
- Residential route experience is a plus!
Responsibilities
- Drive automated or side-load residential collection trucks through assigned neighborhoods in Wilson County.
- Safely operate hydraulic mechanisms to lift, dump, and return residential waste and recycling carts.
- Wave to neighbors, represent GFL with a friendly attitude, and keep residential streets clean and safe.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip safety checks to ensure your rig is in top shape.
