Requirements

  • Possession of an active Pennsylvania non-commercial Class C Driver's License or equivalent.
  • Possession of an active Pennsylvania Class A or B Commercial Driver Learner's Permit on the first day of work.
  • Possession of an active Medical Examiner’s Certificate in accordance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Regulations by the first day of work.
  • Ability to demonstrate successful operation of equipment with a manual transmission.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions.
  • Submission of criminal history reports (conditional offer of employment).
  • Drug screening (conditional offer of employment).

Responsibilities

  • Participate in a six-month training program to learn the specialized duties of a Transportation Equipment Operator A.
  • Learn to operate trucks, loaders, and other machinery and complete required safety checks.
  • Use hand tools and motorized tools to complete maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Follow safety procedures, use protective gear, and report injuries or hazards.
  • Observe work areas, support team members, and help reduce risks on job sites.
  • Follow environmental protection steps during maintenance work.
