Requirements

Possession of an active Pennsylvania non-commercial Class C Driver's License or equivalent.
Possession of an active Pennsylvania Class A or B Commercial Driver Learner's Permit on the first day of work.
Possession of an active Medical Examiner’s Certificate in accordance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Regulations by the first day of work.
Must be able to perform essential job functions.
Must be able to demonstrate successful operation of equipment with a manual transmission within the probationary period.

Responsibilities

Learn to operate trucks, loaders, and other equipment used for highway and bridge maintenance
Use hand tools and power tools to complete tasks such as cutting brush, patching surfaces, and clearing debris
Follow safety procedures, report hazards, and use proper protective gear at all times
Perform inspections, make adjustments, and document daily pre and post operation checks
Stay alert to hazards and help maintain a safe work environment for crews and motorists
