Requirements

• Possession of an active Pennsylvania non-commercial Class C Driver's License or equivalent
• Possession of an active Pennsylvania Class A or B Commercial Driver Learner's Permit on the first day of work
• Possession of an active Medical Examiner’s Certificate in accordance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Regulations by the first day of work
• Subject to Drug and Alcohol testing in accordance with Federal Regulations
• Must be able to perform essential job functions
• Must pass a background investigation

Nice To Haves

• Ability to demonstrate successful operation of equipment with a manual transmission

Responsibilities

• Learn to operate heavy trucks, loaders, and other construction equipment safely and correctly
• Follow safety procedures, use protective equipment, and report hazards or incidents to supervisors
• Perform tasks using tools such as shovels, rakes, chainsaws, mowers, and patching machines
• Operate controls, use seat belts, and install or remove tire chains on dual-wheel vehicles
• Observe surroundings, make adjustments, and help maintain safe work areas for crews and the public
• Apply environmental protection requirements and complete assigned training for maintenance activities
