About The Position

The Davey Company is offering a key opportunity in Utility Line Clearance as a CDL Log Truck Operator. This role involves transporting wood, operating a logging truck with knuckle boom and grapple loader configurations, and assisting with cutting wood using chainsaws and polesaws as needed. The operator will also support tree crews, perform daily inspections and maintenance of the log truck, and ensure DOT compliance.

Requirements

Proven work experience with Log truck operations in the tree industry
Commercial Driver’s License-Class A or B
Love of the outdoors
Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire

Nice To Haves

Line clearance experience or other related tree work
Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law
ISA Certified Arborist®, ISA Certified Tree Worker®, and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional®
