About The Position

Part-Time On-Call CDL Yard Jockey. We are seeking a Part-Time On-Call CDL Yard Jockey Driver to join our team. This position will provide coverage for scheduled time off (PTO) or unexpected call-offs. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional driver who’s looking to earn extra income with a flexible schedule. This is a full-time, non-exempt (hourly) position. Hours worked over 40 hours in 1-week qualify for overtime (paid time and a half). No OTR for this position.

Requirements

Minimum 18 months, verifiable over-the-road experience in the past 5 years, of which 12 months must be within the past 3 years that is similar experience
May substitute local for over-the-road experience
Experience backing 48' to 53' trailers (including in tight spaces and to dock doors)
This position must pass pre-hire background and drug test
Understanding and communicating in the English language is a requirement

Responsibilities

Transporting loads from our warehouse to the local distribution center
Drop the loads at the local distribution center
Hook up a load at the local distribution center
Drop the load from the local distribution center to our warehouse
Maneuvering truck and trailer safely in busy industrial environments
Regularly checking equipment for faults or damages
Ensuring the equipment complies with all guidelines, including weight restrictions
Produce activity logs
Identifying workplace safety hazards
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
