About The Position

The CDL Laborer is a working driver who operates CDL vehicles and, when not driving, works with supervisors and crew members to support inspections, cleaning, repairs, and rehabilitation of sewer and storm water pipes. The position involves manual labor, equipment operation, manhole and underground structure entry, and pump watch and operation. This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Work is typically Monday through Friday, but may include shifts, weekends, evenings, and holidays; flexibility is required as job duties demand.

Requirements

Tanker endorsement required or willingness to obtain it.
Hazmat endorsement required.
Must pass a pre-employment drug test and D.O.T. physical and meet background requirements.
Ability to perform physically demanding work for 8 or more hours per day, including prolonged standing and walking, bending, and twisting.
Ability to enter confined spaces.
Ability to lift and move 50 pounds.
Ability to work in various weather conditions.
Ability to wear required PPE, including hard hats, safety vests, work boots, and safety glasses or goggles as required.

Nice To Haves

Preferred 3–5 years of experience operating a Class A or B vehicle, preferably a Vac Truck.

Responsibilities

Perform manual labor, including lifting, carrying, dragging, and pulling materials.
Drive and operate equipment.
Enter manholes and underground structures.
Perform pump watch and operation.
Work effectively with supervisors and crew members to support sewer and storm water pipe inspections, cleaning, repairs, and rehabilitation.
Learn and operate other company equipment as needed.
