About The Position

Excel Driver Services is seeking an experienced CDL Class A Driving Instructor to join their team at the Denver, CO location. This role involves training the next generation of drivers, focusing on quality and integrity. The position offers a 5-day workweek, assigned equipment, and no freight, ensuring instructors are home every night. The company utilizes technology-based training and provides excellent equipment. They are willing to train the right individual who is personable and professional, with a desire to help students succeed in their CDL careers.

Requirements

• A minimum five years of experience Class A CDL with a valid/current CDL license.
• No DUI/DWIs permitted.
• No chargeable accidents or reckless driving citations in the past five (5) years, with no more than one (1) in the past ten (10) years.
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills in working with students and have an ability to work with adult learners in a team environment.
• Must have excellent customer service skills.
• Valid CDL Class A license and clean driving record required
• Strong understanding of driving rules and regulations
• Excellent communication skills

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience as a driving instructor desired

Responsibilities

• Lead a classroom of students learning driving safety
• Get behind the wheel with students and help them implement their knowledge in a safe and efficient manner
• Communicate effectively with students, and provide additional recommendations on future driving practices
