About The Position

Georgia Driving Academy in Conyers, GA is seeking a part-time CDL Instructor. The ideal candidate will possess a valid Class A CDL, demonstrate patience and good communication skills, and be willing to work collaboratively. Prior instructor experience is a plus but not required, as training is provided by the company. Candidates must meet the Georgia Department of Driver Services instructor requirements, which include passing a drug test, DOT physical, criminal background check, MVR driving record check, and a DDS instructor written test.

Requirements

• Must possess a valid Class A CDL.
• Minimum of 2 years Over-The-Road (OTR) experience.
• Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
• Good Communication Skills.
• Willingness to work with others.
• Able to work a flexible work schedule.
• Must meet Georgia Department of Driver Services instructor requirements.
• Must pass a Drug Test.
• Must pass a DOT Physical.
• Must pass a Criminal Background Check.
• Must pass an MVR Driving Record check.
• Must pass a DDS instructor written test.

Nice To Haves

• Prior instructor experience is a plus.
• Military experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students on CDL requirements and driving skills.
• Work with students to help them meet state guidelines for licensing.
• Provide assistance for licensing and training as needed.
