About The Position

This position requires drivers to load, transport, and deliver various bulk products that may include acid, cement, lime, and fly ash, in tank and pneumatic trailers to various mines and aggregate sites throughout Arizona and New Mexico. Drivers are typically home daily and run local and regional routes. Drivers are responsible for completing thorough pre-and post-trip inspections. We operate 24/7/365. Work schedules vary, depending on business needs. Load assignments are given based on hours of service available. Tractors are dedicated, trailers are shared and slip-seating is expected.

Requirements

Valid Class A CDL
Tank and Hazmat endorsements required
Minimum 23 Years of age
1-year experience operating a combination vehicle (less experience may be considered with extended training)
Valid DOT Physical
Must wear a full face respirator for specific tasks, which requires being clean-shaven daily.
No more than 2 moving violations within the previous 3 years
No major violations within the previous 5 years
Ability to pass a satisfactory road test
Ability to pass a controlled substance test for pre-employment purposes
Authorized access to mine site properties
Must be insurable under the company’s vehicle insurance policy

Nice To Haves

Double/triple trailer endorsement preferred
Ability to operate a manual 10-speed configuration

Responsibilities

Load, transport, and deliver various bulk products (acid, cement, lime, fly ash) in tank and pneumatic trailers.
Complete thorough pre- and post-trip inspections.
Comply with FMCSA regulations for operating a combination vehicle.
Understand and comply with organizational policies and procedures and all applicable local, state, and federal rules and regulations.
Be available for work when hours are available, according to FMCSA’s hours of service regulations.
Perform tasks in rapid succession, handle stressful situations, make quick decisions, and react.
Crawl on hands and knees to open and close bottom hatches on the underside of the trailer.
Lift, carry, pull, push and/or move up to 70 pounds.
Climb stairs and/or ladders, working at elevations of 14 feet above the ground.
Sit, drive, shift gears and stay awake for long periods of time.
Operate a manual 10-speed configuration (preferred).
Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in accordance with company policy and SOPs.
Be clean-shaven daily if required to wear a respirator.
