CDL Driver
About The Position
QXO, Inc. is seeking a CDL Driver to join their team. This role involves performing touch-freight tasks, including lifting, moving, or carrying products over 75 lbs. The driver will be responsible for pre-inspecting the truck, loading materials, verifying load accuracy, and communicating potential hazards to branch management. Additionally, the driver will set up job parameters, inspect sites for safe loading/unloading environments, maintain communication with the dispatcher for timely deliveries, and adhere to all DOT and company safety procedures, including wearing appropriate PPE.
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Valid Class A or B CDL license in good standing
- At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience
- Experience operating heavy equipment and driving a manual transmission truck
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Responsibilities
- Perform touch-freight tasks, which may require lifting, moving, or carrying products weighing over 75 lbs
- Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify the accuracy of the load
- Notify branch management of any potential hazards on site
- Set up job parameters and inspect the site to ensure a safe environment for loading and unloading
- Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher to ensure timely delivery of products
- Follow all DOT and company safety procedures, and always wear appropriate PPE
