About The Position

Talon Recruiting is seeking Class A and B CDL Drivers for a leading Heavy Equipment Rental Company in San Francisco, CA. The role involves delivering and picking up equipment for customers, ensuring timely, safe, and courteous service. Drivers will also operate various construction rental equipment, including excavators and asphalt roller-dozers. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, experienced in construction and industrial equipment, and possess knowledge of hydraulics, electronics, and gas/diesel machinery.

Requirements

  • Must hold a valid California Commercial Class A or B Driver License
  • Must have a driving record in Good Standing (no major violations in last three years, no more than two other moving violations and one at-fault accident in last three years, or no more than three other moving violations in last three years, or no more than two at-fault accidents in last three years with no moving violations)
  • Previous CDL Driving experience

  • Knowledge of state regulations regarding height and weight maximums and winch operations
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of hydraulics, electronics, gas and diesel machinery is preferred.
  • OSHA familiarity/training

Responsibilities

  • Safely transport equipment to customer locations in a timely, safe and courteous manner
  • Determine each customer’s ability to use the equipment in a safe manner
  • Demonstrate use of rental equipment to customers
  • Maintain driver logs and complete pre-trip inspections
  • Follow all Company Operational Procedures
  • Adhere to all safety requirements particular to the equipment, including Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
  • Maintain Truck Equipment/Inventory
  • Maintain the service and appearance of truck
  • Follow delivery/pickup instructions from Dispatcher and Manager
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Store Manager or any Company Manager
