About The Position

QXO, Inc. is seeking a CDL Driver to join their team. This role involves performing touch-freight tasks, including lifting, moving, or carrying products over 75 lbs. The driver will be responsible for pre-inspecting the truck, loading materials, verifying load accuracy, and communicating potential hazards to branch management. Additionally, the driver will set up job parameters, inspect sites for safety, maintain communication with the dispatcher for timely deliveries, and adhere to all DOT and company safety procedures, including wearing appropriate PPE.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Valid Class A or B CDL license in good standing
  • At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience
  • Experience operating heavy equipment and driving a manual transmission truck
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

  • Perform touch-freight tasks, which may require lifting, moving, or carrying products weighing over 75 lbs
  • Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify the accuracy of the load
  • Notify branch management of any potential hazards on site
  • Set up job parameters and inspect the site to ensure a safe environment for loading and unloading
  • Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher to ensure timely delivery of products
  • Follow all DOT and company safety procedures, and always wear appropriate PPE
