About The Position

As a CDL Driver at GXO, you will safely transport materials between company facilities and ensure the timely, accurate movement of products and equipment supporting daily operations. You will operate local routes and return home daily. The schedule is Friday through Monday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. This is a touch freight position. Pay starts at $29.50 per hour, plus a $2.00 per-hour shift differential. Overtime pay is available after 40 hours worked per week. Requirements

At least 6 months of CDL experience within the last 3 years operating the same type of equipment required for this position, or larger.
Must be at least 21 years old.
Current, valid CDL A driver's license.
Acceptable motor vehicle record (MVR).
Appropriate additional Hazmat and Tanker endorsements, if required.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience moving multiple types of trailers, such as tanks, vans, and flatbeds.

Responsibilities

Operate 26-foot box trucks and 53-foot tractor-trailers around the site and on public roads as needed.
Safely transport materials between company facilities and deliver products and equipment accurately and on time.
Handle touch freight.
Drive safely and follow all safety policies and practices.
Perform routine inspections.
Communicate effectively with dispatch.
