About The Position

Mason County Garbage, a Waste Connections Company, is looking for a reliable and motivated Class B CDL Garbage Truck Driver to join their team in Shelton, WA. This is a stable, full-time career with great pay, benefits, and the chance to be home every night. The schedule is Monday–Friday, starting at 6 AM, with occasional Saturdays as needed. The role averages about 45 hours per week (overtime eligible) and involves three days of driving an ASL truck to pick up commercial recycling and two days of deliveries. Previous waste industry experience is a plus but not required, as training is provided for the right person. The starting pay is $27.75/hour with annual increases and bonus opportunities.

Requirements

Valid Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement
Clean driving record (please bring a copy of your MVR to the in-person interview)
Minimum 1 year of relevant driving experience
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
Safety-Sensitive – YES

Nice To Haves

Previous waste industry experience
Ability to operate 10-, 13-, and 18-speed transmissions
High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

Safely operate a garbage truck on designated routes to collect solid waste.
Read route sheets and service each customer listed or assigned by the dispatcher.
Perform routine inspections and maintenance on vehicles, including checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires.
Perform a physically demanding job, including loading and unloading, sometimes without assistance.
Operate hydraulic hand controls to lift and load refuse and dispose of trash at designated facilities.
Interact courteously with customers and perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
