CDL Driver - Rockford
About The Position
Rugby Architectural Building Products is a wholesale distributor of specialty building products, operating out of 26 branches throughout the United States. Our primary business is non-structural architectural grade building products sold principally to customers who create and produce end-products for the commercial, industrial, retail, residential and institutional markets. We are growing and seeking a Delivery Driver! You will be delivering pre-hung doors, and other supplies. This position requires you to physically load and unload products and engage with our customers. At Rugby, our goal is to lead the industry! Requirements
- History of being a truck driver, delivery driver, and especially experience with a Class A CDL.
- Interest in working for a company that values hard work and loyalty.
- Strong physical stamina – this role requires a lot of physical activity.
- Highly organized and self-motivated – you should be a self-starter who doesn’t require constant supervision.
- Experienced driver with a Class A driver's license (CDL A) and medical card
- Able to pass drug test, background, Clearinghouse and motor vehicle pre-employment screen
- Required to pass a driving test.
- Must be able to pass a physical examination as required by the U. S. Department of Transportation
- This role is a Safety Sensitive position and subject to routine drug screenings.
Responsibilities
- Use your CDL A license to deliver products to our customers.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of your truck, depending on the customer.
- Work safely, attend safety meetings and follow all safety procedures and policies
- Occasionally lift heavy products to store, remove from storage, or load onto a truck.
