About The Position

Pellitteri Waste Systems, Inc. is seeking Class A or B CDL Drivers for residential accounts. Drivers safely operate heavy trucks with a capacity of at least 26,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), including side-loaders designed to haul solid waste and recycling. The position pays $29.00 per hour, with higher compensation once on productivity pay. Higher pay rates may also be available for drivers with prior CDL experience in the waste industry. Requirements

CDL Class A or B with air brake endorsements.
Legally eligible to work in the United States.
Strong work ethic.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in CDL truck driving or a related field is preferred.
Previous experience in the waste industry using a CDL is preferred.

Responsibilities

Safely operate heavy trucks, including side-loaders designed to haul solid waste and recycling.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the assigned vehicle and document checks using the standard Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR).
Work with Operations Managers to improve route efficiencies and identify best practices.
Completely dump trash and recycling and leave customer locations clean and free of debris.
Report issues or incidents to dispatch daily.
Perform duties as scheduled by the Route Manager or Dispatch and assist other drivers as directed to meet customer needs.
