About The Position

World Electric is hiring a full-time Class A CDL Driver in Hialeah Gardens, Florida. The CDL Warehouse Driver is the face of World Electric, operating a company-provided truck to transport materials to customers. The role requires safe operation of company equipment and care to ensure products arrive in good condition and ready for customers. Drivers communicate with sales associates or managers to solve problems and meet customer needs, and work cooperatively with customers and colleagues.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience as a CDL Driver.
• Valid Class A CDL and a clean Motor Vehicle Record.
• Strong math and reading skills.
• Knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations.
• Ability to operate various commercial vehicles, such as tractor-trailers and box trucks.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and slide packages typically weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Frequently stand, walk, bend, climb, reach with arms, and use hands continuously.
• Maintain continuous mental and visual alertness for safety and accuracy.
• Flexibility and mobility in body movements.
• Remove gates from flatbed trucks.
• Occasionally lift items weighing more than 75 pounds with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial vehicles in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Ensure the truck is in safe operating condition and maintain a clean appearance.
• Communicate with sales associates or managers to solve problems and meet customer needs.
• Assist customers and World Electric associates in a helpful and cooperative manner.
• Construct pallets according to delivery area to prevent stock from being damaged during delivery.
• Handle and secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit.
• Participate in processes and programs that promote a safe work environment.
• Report vehicle maintenance issues or incidents promptly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
