CDL Driver - Weekend 1st Shift

About The Position

As a CDL Driver at GXO, you will drive company equipment and support safe, efficient supply chain operations. The schedule is Friday through Monday, 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. You will drive tractors on-site and on public roads, move trailers, inspect equipment, and assist with freight handling. The role offers starting pay of $30.50 per hour, a $2.00 hourly shift premium, and overtime pay availability after 40 hours worked per week. Requirements

At least 6 months of Class A Commercial Driver’s License experience.
At least 6 months of experience in the last 3 years moving trailers 48 feet or larger.
A current, valid Class A CDL and a safe driving record.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience moving multiple types of trailers, such as tanks, vans, and flatbeds.

Responsibilities

Drive a tractor on-site and on public roads, moving multiple styles of 53-foot trailers.
Inspect the tractor or yard truck before and after the shift.
Maneuver tractor-trailers safely throughout the facility in designated lanes and areas.
Maintain housekeeping in the assigned tractor-trailer and defined areas.
Inspect trailers to be moved and verify their condition.
Load and unload freight and supplies, or assist with loading and unloading the truck.
Work safely and adhere to all safety policies and practices.
