About The Position

Atlantic Health System is seeking a per diem CDL Driver for Atlantic Ambulance in Livingston. The role provides day-to-day transportation services for Atlantic Health in a timely and professional manner. Drivers maintain a flexible schedule and may be needed for overtime, special events, and holidays. The listed per diem rates are $31.00 per hour for Class A and $26.00 per hour for Class B.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
New Jersey CDL license, Class A or B, without restriction and with a passenger endorsement.

Nice To Haves

Three years of professional driving experience.

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day transportation services in a timely and professional manner.
Maintain a flexible schedule and be available for overtime, special events, and holidays as needed by the department.
Demonstrate good customer service and treat riders respectfully, handling grievances professionally.
Wear the full uniform, including a visible ID badge and key peg, and maintain a professional appearance.
Clean vehicles inside and out daily, fuel them after each shift, and ensure all required equipment is in the vehicle.
Check oil and fluid levels before each shift, and complete and submit Rig Check Sheets daily.
Swipe in and out on time and arrive on time for routine scheduled stops.
Complete tasks and assignments in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner.
Work and communicate with other drivers as needed to ensure timely, efficient service.
Adhere to Atlantic Health and Atlantic Ambulance policies and procedures.
Complete required training and maintain required certifications and licenses.
Keep DOT physical appointments and New Jersey driver's license requirements up to date.
Contribute to a team environment.
Attend all Transportation staff meetings.
