About The Position

MEI Industrial Solutions is hiring a CDL Driver/Rigger in the Morrisville, Pennsylvania area. The role safely drives tractor-trailer rigs under DOT regulations to transport equipment and crews to job sites. Work includes conducting vehicle inspections, using electronic logs, loading and unloading equipment, securing and tarping loads, and completing required paperwork. The position may also involve rigging, crating, machinery moving, and related work supporting pharmaceutical and heavy industrial projects. Work hours vary according to project requirements and customer needs. Travel may be available depending on project needs but is not mandatory. Per diem is provided for overnight work-related travel. The role requires a positive, flexible, and professional approach, the ability to work both collaboratively and independently, and a commitment to safety, regulatory compliance, and quality customer service. Physical work includes climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials weighing up to 50 pounds.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid Class A CDL with Air Brakes and combination endorsements.
At least two years of proven CDL-level driving experience.
At least three years of proven experience or comparable field experience, preferably in the construction service industry.
Basic knowledge of operating equipment such as forklifts, man lifts, and mobile platform lifts.
Experienced knowledge of load securement and safe hauling practices.
Ability to use precision measuring tools and equipment, as well as hand, power, and pneumatic tools.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Ability to handle materials weighing up to 50 pounds and perform physical activities including climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, and stooping.
Maintain safety awareness for oneself and others at the job site.
Demonstrate honesty, integrity, professionalism, open communication, and pride in work.

Responsibilities

Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
Drive tractor-trailer rigs safely and in compliance with DOT regulations to transport equipment and crews to job sites.
Use electronic logging and complete required daily paperwork.
Load and unload equipment; handle, secure, tarp, and tie down loads safely.
Follow safety requirements when hauling loads.
Use basic knowledge of industrial equipment and forklift operation.
Signal or verbally direct workers engaged in hoisting and moving loads to protect workers and materials.
Control the movement of heavy equipment through narrow openings or confined spaces.
Complete housekeeping duties in the assigned or project area as required.
Test rigging to ensure its safety and reliability.
Attach loads to rigging using hand and power tools.
Select rigging gear, such as cables, pulleys, and winches, based on load weight and size, facilities, and work schedules.
Move suspended loads around obstacles using multi-point suspension techniques.
Install ground rigging for yarding lines and attach chokers to logs and lines.
Align, level, and anchor machinery.
Fabricate, set up, and repair rigging, supporting structures, hoists, and pulling gear using hand and power tools.
Operate rigging lines, hoists, and pulling gear to move or support materials.
Attach pulleys and blocks to fixed overhead structures using bolts and clamps.
Dismantle and store rigging equipment after use.
Operate vehicles and mechanized equipment, including forklifts.
Operate machines and processes using control mechanisms or direct physical activity.
Perform other assigned job responsibilities.
