About The Position

Responsible for transporting goods and materials across long distances, typically across state lines. This role involves operating a commercial vehicle, ensuring the safe and timely delivery of products, and adhering to all relevant regulations. The company, CTDI, is a large-scale Engineering, Repair, and Logistics company serving major telecommunications and high-speed internet providers, with a significant US and global employee base.

Requirements

Requires a commercial driver’s license (Class A CDL) and appropriate endorsements.
Must be able to obtain a DOT medical card and maintain a complete US DOT driver qualification file.
1+ years recent commercial delivery-driving experience.
Valid state-issued driver’s license, with a clean driving record.
Capacity to demonstrate reliability, adaptability, and dependability.
Good hand-eye coordination.
Thoroughness and attention to detail in task completion.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
United States work authorization.
Must be 18 years of age.

Nice To Haves

Minimum of 1 year of OTR driving experience.
Previous experience working in a high-volume distribution, manufacturing, technical service (i.e. testing and repair) or forward logistics operation a plus.
Strong commitment to customer service.
Possess specialized skills for managing hazardous materials.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

Inspects the truck pre- and post-trip.
Accurately complete vehicle inspection sheets, fuel consumption logs, daily log sheets, bills of lading, vehicle trip records, and expense reports.
Ensures all cargo is loaded, checked, and safely secured during transit.
Assists with or oversees loading and unloading of cargo to ensure secure transit.
Acquires all proper signatures on shipping/receiving documents.
Monitors the maintenance and repair of the truck.
Provide excellent customer service by communicating professionally and representing the company positively.
Responsible for following all Federal and State DOT regulations as well as warehouse safety regulations.
Other duties as assigned.
