About The Position

Morrison Industrial Equipment is seeking a CDL Licensed Mechanic for our Muskegon branch. The role involves local transportation and delivery of equipment, along with light mechanical and maintenance work. This is a full-time, first-shift position, Monday through Friday, averaging 40 hours per week, with overtime opportunities. The starting compensation ranges from $22-26/hr, depending on experience.

Requirements

Valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) with a clean driving record.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent problem-solving abilities.
Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Willingness to learn and adapt to the dynamic needs of the job.
Work Independently with Minimum Supervision.
Value the Importance of Safety.
Ability to lift 80 pounds due to Lift and Move Functions.

Nice To Haves

Proven experience as a technician or mechanic is preferred.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and Repair Equipment Breakdowns
Communicating Effectively any Needed Repairs with Customers
Complete Work Orders in a Timely Manner
Coordinate with Parts and Service Department Daily
Comply with all Safety Procedures within Morrison’s Guidelines
Consistently and Reliably attend Shift Ready to Work when Scheduled
Perform any Other Duties as Assigned
Keep an Accurate Detailed Record of Delivery and Pickup
Monitor Truck Maintenance
Maintain Accurate Inventory of Packages and Materials
Load and Unload Vehicle According to Time Allotted
Administrative Tasks such as Printing Paperwork, Planning Routes, Managing Emails
