Waste Connections is seeking dedicated individuals to join their team as a Driver in Training. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start a career in an industry that offers growth opportunities and steady employment. Waste Connections will cover all costs associated with obtaining your CDL and pay you while you learn. In this role, you will work alongside experienced CDL drivers, Driver Trainers, and Operations Supervisors to learn the proper operation of commercial vehicles and obtain your Commercial Driving License (CDL). The training program includes two weeks of training at your local Waste Connections district, obtaining your CDL permit within the first 30 days, and attending a partnered Driving School in Gastonia, NC within the first 60 days (as school availability permits). All hotel, travel, and food costs will be covered during the training period.
