About The Position

As a DOT Driver, your primary role will be to safely load, unload, and transport building materials to job sites, ensuring efficient delivery and excellent customer service.

Requirements

  • Possess a Class A or B Commercial driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Maintain a current Medical Card.
  • Be prepared to work in inclement weather.
  • Adapt to changes in the building industry, embracing new products and processes.
  • Comfortably operate a tablet.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving skills with minimal supervision.
  • Build trust with customers, providing a positive experience to support business growth.
  • Exhibit a highly developed sense of urgency and timely follow-up.
  • Pay great attention to detail.
  • Possess excellent organizational skills.
  • Be legally authorized to work in the United States and verified through the federal E-Verify system.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous commercial driving experience.
  • Previous forklift experience.
  • Previous work in construction or home building.

Responsibilities

  • Load, unload, and safely transport building materials by hand to job sites.
  • Ensure efficient delivery of materials while upholding the highest safety standards.
  • Provide top-notch customer service.
  • Operate DOT-regulated trucks with confidence and precision.
  • Operate a forklift with skill and finesse to handle materials efficiently.
  • Arrange building materials at job sites according to the preferences of framers.
  • Interact with customers and subcontractors in a friendly, professional manner.
  • Continuously grow knowledge base about new products and processes in the building industry.
  • Offer support to your crew and foreman.
  • Manage product returns for credit efficiently, ensuring accurate transactions.
