Requirements

  • Possess a Class A or B Commercial driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Maintain a current Medical Card.
  • Be prepared to work in inclement weather.
  • Adapt to changes in the building industry, embracing new products and processes.
  • Comfortably operate a tablet.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving skills with minimal supervision.
  • Build trust with customers, providing a positive experience.
  • Exhibit a highly developed sense of urgency and timely follow-up.
  • Pay great attention to detail.
  • Possess excellent organizational skills.
  • Be active on your feet, not just in the seat.
  • Feel comfortable around construction environments.
  • Take ownership of the whole job, not just your part of it.
  • Be physically fit and ready to match the demands of the role.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous commercial driving experience.
  • Previous forklift experience.
  • Previous work in construction or home building.

Responsibilities

  • Operate straight trucks and tractor-trailers.
  • Operate piggyback lifts regularly.
  • Work on active construction sites, placing building materials by hand and by lift.
  • Handle product returns, gathering, banding, and loading materials.
  • Engage in heavy lifting as part of the job.
  • Prioritize safety in all aspects of the job.
  • Operate DOT-regulated trucks with confidence and precision.
  • Operate a forklift with skill and finesse.
  • Arrange building materials at job sites according to framers' preferences.
  • Interact with customers and subcontractors in a friendly, professional manner.
  • Continuously learn about new products and processes in the building industry.
  • Support the crew and foreman, contributing to a collaborative work environment.
  • Manage product returns for credit efficiently and accurately.
