About The Position

Dairy Fresh Farms is hiring a local CDL Class A or B milk delivery driver for its Woodland depot. The driver delivers milk and ice cream to local convenience stores, schools, coffee stands, restaurants, and institutional facilities, and is home every night. Routes are available on a four-day work week, and drivers do not work weekends. Pay is $24.00 to $26.00 per hour. Medical, dental, and vision benefits are available within 90 days of starting. A 401(k) with 25% employer matching is available after one year, and 40 hours of vacation are paid after one year of employment.

Requirements

CDL Class A or B driver’s license.
Clean driving record.
Ability to obtain a Medical Certificate.
Ability to pass a background check.
Ability to drive a new-model box truck.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.
DOT-regulated position.

Nice To Haves

One year of experience as a delivery truck driver is preferred.

Responsibilities

Inspect the truck’s general condition, fluid levels, and tire pressure, and obtain or schedule required repairs.
Load trucks by ordering, placing, and securing items.
Deliver items by identifying destinations, following established routes, assisting with establishing or updating routes, operating the truck, unloading items, and maintaining schedules.
Serve customers by understanding and resolving or forwarding complaints and adjusting orders.
Accept cash and checks as payment.
Maintain safe operation and a clean appearance by following company policies, procedures, standards, and state and local driving rules and regulations; clean the truck interior.
Maintain delivery, truck, and driving records by obtaining receipt acknowledgments, recording tracking information, and completing driver logs and truck performance forms.
