About The Position

Cadence Petroleum Group, doing business as Brewer-Hendley, is seeking dedicated local or regional delivery drivers for its Monroe, North Carolina office. The company distributes wholesale fuel to more than 50 retail gasoline dealers and is adding professional drivers to support continued growth. The role involves delivering products safely and in compliance with company procedures and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, coordinating deliveries with dispatch, maintaining delivery documentation and vehicle condition, and providing professional customer service.

Qualified candidates must hold a valid Class A or Class B commercial driver's license (CDL), a required hazmat endorsement, and a current DOT physical certification. A tanker endorsement is preferred. Drivers must comply with all DOT mandates and regulations. Some weekend work may be required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products according to the manifest in a safe, responsible manner and in accordance with company procedures and DOT regulations.
• Operate company vehicles professionally, safely, and courteously.
• Coordinate with dispatchers to plan efficient deliveries.
• Use knowledge of customer schedules, delivery times, traffic volume, and alternate routes to improve route efficiency.
• Safely load and unload products according to load size and content description.
• Provide good customer service and maintain a professional manner and appearance.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, corrective and preventative maintenance, and document findings on truck inspection sheets.
• Maintain daily DOT logbooks and meet EDL federal requirements.
• Ensure the appropriate merchandise is delivered in accordance with customer invoices.
• Report accidents, damage, and malfunctions to management and complete the required documentation promptly.
• Maintain a valid driver's license, endorsements, and DOT physical card, and submit renewal copies to the manager promptly.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
