About The Position

This position delivers products, including hazardous materials, to customers from Sherwin-Williams stores using box and flat-bed trucks. The driver ensures deliveries are complete, correctly packed, and safely delivered to the correct customer, while supporting customer satisfaction and transporting items safely and on time. The position is based at Store #707592, 1145 Albertson Pkwy, Broussard, LA 70518. The role involves customer contact, including possible contact with minors, and access to cash and other payment methods, electronic equipment, personal information, merchandise, and other items of value. Sherwin-Williams has determined that a criminal-history review is necessary to protect its business, operations, reputation, and the safety of customers, staff, employees, vendors, contractors, and the public. In addition to delivery work, the driver may perform store tasks such as warehouse duties, tinting and mixing customer orders, and serving customers. Requirements

Must be at least 21 years old.
Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without current or future employment-visa sponsorship.
Must have a valid, unrestricted Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a hazardous materials endorsement.
Must have a valid Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC) from a DOT-licensed medical examiner listed on the FMCSA National Registry, or be willing to obtain one within five business days of receiving a conditional offer.
Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. occasionally.
Must be willing to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Must read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED.
At least one year of experience working as a delivery driver.
At least one year of work experience using material-handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, order pickers, vacu-hoists, drum dollies, or conveyor belts.
Previous work experience selling paint and paint-related products.
Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language.
Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish.

Responsibilities

Prepare deliveries to meet customer requirements efficiently.
Load customer orders properly onto the truck.
Complete appropriate forms.
Load, transport, and deliver items to customers safely and on time.
Maintain the store vehicle and alert the supervisor to repair and servicing needs.
Provide excellent customer service, answer questions, and handle customer complaints.
Follow assigned routes and time schedules.
Comply with transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
Prepare reports and other documents related to deliveries.
Operate equipment and machines such as cars, trucks, and forklifts.
Perform other store tasks, including warehouse duties, tinting and mixing customer orders, and serving customers.
