This position involves driving a company truck with a capacity of 26,000 pounds or less to transport CNC material goods to and from customers in a safe and efficient manner. The role primarily involves local deliveries within Illinois and Wisconsin, including daily drop-offs and pick-ups between the Hanover Park and Bartlett locations.

Requirements

Class C - CDL driving license
Able to drive in IL and WI
Forklift and pallet jack certification
Able to pass a background check
Able to pass a DOT physical
Able to pass a DOT drug test
Able to pass a vision test
Able to pass a motor vehicle license check
Able to pass a lift test
Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Responsibilities

Verifies load against shipping papers
Drives truck to destination
Prepares receipts for load pickups
Maintains truck log according to state and federal regulations
Maintains contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions
Loads and unloads truck
May need to use forklift and pallet jack
Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water
Follow established safety practices and requirements pertaining to the type of work involved
Perform mostly local driving, with some out of state pickups/deliveries
When not driving, assist in Shipping Receiving/Logistics and Outside Operations, as needed
Other duties as assigned
