This position involves operating vehicles and equipment in a safe, professional manner. Driving time is 20-30% of the role, with the remainder dedicated to physical labor activities using hand tools, shovels, etc., outdoors with exposure to the elements. The role requires coordinating and handling mechanical mechanisms to deliver emulsion, picking up and transporting goods, inventory, hazardous materials, and other cargo. Responsibilities include maintaining driving and delivery logs, confirming load contents against manifest documents, and tracking/reporting working hours. The driver will be responsible for loading/unloading and transporting materials, including overhead bin loading which requires fall protection. A key part of the role is operating mobile manufacturing units (MMUs) onsite at customer locations to create a wide array of bulk products for blasting, mastering the operation of Austin Powder bulk equipment to ensure consistent quality. Daily tasks include completing pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting maintenance needs to the Location Manager, and complying with all regulatory requirements and company policies for the delivery of bulk and packaged explosives. The role also involves operating mobile manufacturing equipment with precise chemical control and a hands-on approach to the daily operation and maintenance of the Austin Powder location and customer sites. Other duties as assigned.
