CDL Class B Driver - Operator
About The Position
Austin Powder Company is seeking a CDL Class B Driver - Operator for a career that offers nightly and weekend home time, a hands-on approach, and outdoor work within a safety-first culture. This role goes beyond driving, involving comprehensive training in the safe handling of explosives, including inventory, loading, unloading, and transporting products at local distribution centers and customer job sites. The successful candidate will also be instrumental in driving and operating Mobile Manufacturing Units (MMU's) and learning the technical aspects of staging products in the field. The position requires a balance of driving and active, hands-on work, with the ability to lift 50 lbs, and operates on a Monday-Friday schedule.
Requirements
- CDL w/ Tanker/Hazmat endorsements (consideration will be given to CDL holders needing endorsements)
- Clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50#
Responsibilities
- Safely handle explosives, including inventorying, loading, unloading, and transporting product at local distribution centers and customer job sites
- Drive and operate MMU's (Mobile Manufacturing Unit)
- Learn the technical aspects of staging products in the field at customer job sites
- Engage in hands-on, active work, including the ability to lift 50#
