CDL Class B Driver - Operator
About The Position
Austin Powder Company is seeking a CDL Class B Driver - Operator for a career that offers nightly returns home, including weekends off. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, being outdoors, and operating within a safety-first culture. The successful candidate will learn all aspects of safely handling explosives, including inventory, loading, unloading, and transporting products at a local distribution center and customer job sites. They will also be a key team member in driving and operating Mobile Manufacturing Units (MMUs) and mastering the technical aspects of staging products in the field. The position requires a balance of driving and active, physical work, with the ability to lift 50 pounds. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with no weekend work.
Requirements
- CDL Class B with Tanker/Hazmat endorsements (consideration given to CDL holders needing endorsements)
- Clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50#
Responsibilities
- Safely handle explosives, including inventory, loading, unloading, and transporting product at local distribution centers and customer job sites
- Drive and operate MMUs (Mobile Manufacturing Unit)
- Learn the technical aspects of staging product in the field at customer job sites
- Work hands-on and outdoors
- Lift up to 50 pounds
