About The Position
The purpose of this position is to ensure timely delivery of foodservice goods to predetermined customers on specific routes in the Midwest states.
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Commercial Driving License
- Minimum 6 months commercial vehicle driving experience
- Basic math skills
- Work in fast paced environment
- Excellent organization and communication skills
- Exceptional customer skills
- Clean driving record
Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections of vehicle before departing to deliver goods
- Pack and load products onto trucks according to company’s specifications
- Deliver orders to customers on assigned routes and on-time schedule
- Maintain ongoing communication with route dispatcher and/or sales reps
- Unload goods as per company’s specifications
- Review deliveries with customers to ensure products meet their needs and adjust receipts as needed.
- Collect and record payments
- Obtain delivery confirmations from each customer
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Complete inspections, logs and reports on time.
- Follow DOT regulations and safety standards
