About The Position

Homestead Outdoor Products is a family-owned supplier of premium fencing, decking, railing, gates, and other outdoor building materials. We proudly serve contractors and homeowners with high-quality products, expert guidance, and exceptional customer service. Our close-knit team believes in working hard, supporting one another, and giving our delivery truck drivers the tools they need to succeed. This role involves local deliveries within approximately a 150-mile radius, ensuring drivers are home every night. The position combines driving, customer interaction, and hands-on work with building materials.

Requirements

  • Hold a valid Class B CDL.
  • Previous CDL driving experience preferred.
  • Experience with lumber, building materials, or a Moffett forklift is a plus.
  • Take pride in operating safely, following DOT regulations, maintaining equipment, and protecting every load from start to finish.
  • Manage your time well, work independently, and consistently deliver materials accurately and on schedule.
  • Represent Homestead Outdoor Products professionally by communicating clearly and providing outstanding service at every delivery.
  • Enjoy a hands-on role that includes lifting up to 100 pounds, working outdoors in varying weather conditions, and assisting with deliveries and yard operations.
  • Contribute to a close-knit, faith-based team that values hard work, mutual respect, and helping one another succeed.

Responsibilities

  • Load lumber, decking, fencing, railing, and other building materials onto delivery trucks, ensuring every load is secure and ready for safe transport.
  • Deliver building materials by truck to customer locations within approximately a 150-mile radius while providing dependable, professional service—no overnight travel required.
  • Unload materials safely at jobsites, following customer instructions and site safety requirements.
  • Verify orders against packing lists to ensure customers receive the correct materials every time.
  • Inspect your truck and equipment regularly, reporting maintenance needs to help keep the fleet safe and reliable.
  • Maintain a clean, organized truck and work area that reflects the pride you take in your work.
  • Support the lumberyard team by stocking materials, organizing inventory, and assisting customers between delivery routes.
