Class A CDL Tanker Truck Driver
About The Position
Bakelite is hiring experienced CDL Class A Tanker Drivers who want consistent home time, great pay, and a team that truly values professional drivers. This role involves operating a tanker safely to customer and supplier locations using assigned routes, following SOPs to ensure the safe delivery of chemical products, and adhering to Bakelite and DOT safety regulations at all times. The driver will maintain a clean driving record, deliver outstanding customer service, and safely load and off-load chemical materials. Working schedules may include variable start times, weekends, and holidays in compliance with DOT regulations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Valid CDL Class A
- At least 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience
- No more than 1 chargeable accident in the past year
- No more than 1 moving violation (excluding parking) in the past year
- Tanker Endorsement
- HazMat Endorsement
- Valid DOT Medical Card
- Must comply with clean-shaven guidelines for respirator use
- Experience operating manual transmission
- Be at least 18 years or age
- Willing to take a drug test
- Submit to a background investigation as part of the selection process, as well as additional periodic background checks as required by the Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards (CFATS) or regulations adopted by the Department of Homeland Security or other regulatory agencies.
- Candidates are required to have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
Nice To Haves
- Experience using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD)
- 1+ years hauling Cargo Tank trailers
- Experience with hazardous materials
