About The Position

Cowlitz Clean Sweep (CCS), a division of Pacific Northern Environmental LLC, is seeking a CDL Class A Hazmat Driver. This role is crucial for transporting hazardous materials and other materials from job sites to disposal locations, requiring hands-on work with the field team. CCS specializes in industrial cleaning and spill response for pulp and paper mills, major oil companies, and various manufacturing and industrial clients in the Pacific Northwest. Pacific Northern Environmental, LLC operates across multiple states and offers a range of services through its five divisions, including commercial and petroleum construction, electrical services, industrial cleaning, and hazardous waste disposal.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Valid Driver’s License Required.
  • Must possess a valid Class A Tanker endorsement, and Hazmat endorsement.
  • 2-3 years’ experience driving DOT regulated vehicles is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience driving Hazmat materials strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate truck controls to engage, move, and reposition vacuum hoses when operating a vacuum truck.
  • Safely operate and maintain company vehicles, ensuring compliance with traffic laws and company policies.
  • Drive in accordance with all company safety policies and within all laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Complete DOT required pre and post trip inspections, completing any required paperwork.
  • Operate a box van with a lift gate to pick up and/or deliver drums.
  • Operate truck according to instructions from dispatch or supervisor.
  • Load, unload, and set up vacuum hoses at job site when operating a vacuum truck.
  • Report all accidents and injuries and complete an accident report form.
  • Ensure all loads are properly secured prior to driving and maintain safety while driving.
  • Other duties as assigned.
