About The Position

Airgas is hiring a CDL A Driver with Hazmat endorsement in Minooka, IL. This role involves driving a Commercial Motor Vehicle (Tractor-trailer) to transport and off-load compressed and liquefied industrial gases to customers or storage sites. The driver will perform pre and post-trip inspections, report any issues or incidents to their supervisor, and complete necessary reports. The position focuses on hauling Liquid Argon, Nitrogen, and Oxygen.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age
3+ year experience as driver of tractor - trailer vehicles
Class A CDL with HazMat and Tanker endorsements

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or general education degree (GED), two years technical college or military technical experience Preferred
Three (3) years of HazMat or Tanker experience

Responsibilities

Drive Commercial Motor Vehicle (Tractor-trailer) combination, usually long distances, to transport and off-load compressed and liquefied industrial gases to customers or to storage sites in a safe, timely, accurate, and courteous manner.
Perform pre & post trip inspections to identify any maintenance action that may be required and act appropriately if action is needed.
Report all accidents, possible injuries, safety issues, driving citations, and customer complaints to include service interruptions immediately to their supervisor.
Complete and submit reports as required by the DOT and/or Airgas company policy.
