About The Position

We are hiring a CDL Class A Driver to join our team. This role involves operating large mobile equipment and working outdoors. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, knowledgeable about DOT regulations, and enjoys driving.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
• Minimum of 9 months experience operating large mobile equipment or hauling vehicles
• Comfort using smartphone/GPS technology
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office; SAP experience is an asset)
• Knowledge of traffic regulations and load restrictions
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Flexibility to work in various weather conditions
• Strong customer service skills

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Tanker and HazMat endorsements are a plus

Responsibilities

• Safely operate diesel straight trucks and tractor/trailers (roll-off, dump, and van trailers)
• Pick up and deliver steel products and materials to suppliers and customers
• Follow established procedures while ensuring full compliance with DOT regulations
• Read and work from invoices, shipping tickets, and electronic instructions
• Maintain accurate driver logs, trip reports, and inspection reports
• Assist with loading/unloading, secure loads properly, and ensure safe transport
• Maintain professional and courteous relationships with customers and vendors
• Perform routine vehicle cleaning and basic upkeep
