About The Position
The CDL Class A Driver / Shipping Helper safely transports materials and supports daily shipping and receiving operations within the fabrication facility. The role combines driving with hands-on shop support to ensure timely deliveries and maintain organization, accuracy, and safety in the shipping area. The position is based in Duncan, South Carolina, and works first shift.
Requirements
- Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record.
- DOT Medical Card.
- At least 2 years of commercial driving experience.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a physically active environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Dependability and a team-oriented mindset.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a fabrication, manufacturing, or construction environment.
- Forklift experience, or willingness to be trained.
Responsibilities
- Operate company vehicles to transport materials, pipe spools, and equipment to and from job sites, vendors, and other locations.
- Ensure loads are properly secured and comply with DOT regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report issues immediately.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and required documentation.
- Follow traffic laws and company safety standards.
- Assist with inventory handling and material staging.
- Load and unload materials using forklifts or other equipment.
- Support other departments as needed during downtime from driving duties.
- Follow PPE requirements and safety protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shipping and receiving area.
