About The Position

Spee Dee Delivery, a family-owned company established in 1978, is seeking a CDL Class A Driver (Transport) for their Fergus Falls, MN location. The company specializes in standard, next-day ground delivery and has expanded throughout the Midwest, employing over 1,800 people. The primary responsibility of this role is to drive a tractor-trailer or straight truck to transport parcels between terminals. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is being offered for qualified CDL Class A drivers.

Requirements

At least 21 years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Hold a valid CDL Class A driver's license with a good driving record that meets company standards.
Ability to operate a manual transmission.
Must possess or have the ability to obtain a doubles/triples endorsement.
Must possess good customer service and organizational skills.
Must be able to work independently and make quick decisions.
Ability to pass a DOT physical.
Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly up to 100 pounds occasionally.
Full range of motion with no limits on grasping, standing, squatting, stair climbing, walking, etc.
Ability to work with all types to freight which include, but are not limited to hazardous material, perishable food and alcohol, firearms, ammunition, and live animals.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

Conduct a pre-trip inspection before driving to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment are in good working order.
Turn in pre-trip form and complete mileage and maintenance forms.
Drive between terminals to transport parcels.
Maintain all required certifications required by DOT and company safety policies.
Wash the exterior of tractor and equipment daily.
Assist other drivers with loading, delivery, or pick up as needed.
