About The Position

The CDL Class A Driver / Shipping Helper is responsible for safely transporting materials and supporting daily shipping and receiving operations within the fabrication facility. This role is a blend of driving and hands-on shop support, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining organization, accuracy, and safety in the shipping area.

Requirements

Valid CDL Class A license with clean driving record
Must have a DOT Medical Card.
Minimum 2+ years of commercial driving experience required.
Ability to lift-up to 50 lbs. and work in a physically active environment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Dependable with strong work team-oriented mindset.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a fabrication, manufacturing, or construction environment preferred
Forklift experience preferred (or willingness to be trained)

Responsibilities

Operate company vehicles to transport materials, pipe spools, and equipment to and from job sites, vendors, and other locations
Ensure all loads are properly secured and compliant with DOT regulations
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any issues immediately
Maintain accurate delivery logs and required documentation
Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety standards
Assist with inventory handling and material staging
Assist with loading and unloading materials using forklifts or other equipment
Support other departments as needed during downtime from driving duties
Follow all PPE requirements and safety protocols
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shipping/receiving area
