About The Position

APAC Central Inc., a CRH company, is seeking a skilled professional with a Class A CDL and tanker endorsement who thrives both behind the wheel and on heavy equipment. This dynamic position involves splitting time between safely operating construction jobsite trucks, including tankers and distributors, and running heavy construction equipment on site. You will be responsible for delivering essential materials and equipment, as well as expertly grading, compacting, or moving earth, ensuring projects move smoothly and safely. APAC-Central, Inc. has been serving customers since the early 20th Century and is a regional heavy highway/infrastructure construction firm serving Arkansas, Oklahoma, and southern Missouri.

Requirements

  • Valid Class A CDL with tanker endorsement (hazmat a plus).
  • 2–3 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
  • Proven experience operating a range of construction equipment.
  • Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
  • High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain Class A CDL vehicles for use on construction jobsites, including water trucks, service trucks, and distributors.
  • Safely operate construction equipment such as loaders, graders, excavators, and dozers as required for each project.
  • Conduct thorough daily pre- and post-trip inspections and maintain accurate documentation in line with DOT guidelines.
  • Follow all company safety policies, OSHA/MSHA regulations, and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
  • Collaborate with crews and supervisors to meet project needs on schedule.
  • Maintain vehicles and equipment in clean, orderly, and safe condition.
  • Display a professional and courteous attitude with co-workers, supervisors, and the public.
  • Be willing and able to travel and work nights or weekends as needed.
