About The Position

Metro Welding Supply Corporation is hiring a local CDL Class A Delivery Driver with a HazMat endorsement to deliver industrial and medical gases and welding equipment throughout Michigan and northern Ohio. This is a hands-on delivery role that involves loading, securing, unloading, and safely handling compressed-gas cylinders using provided equipment. It is a local route position with no overnight travel or weekend work, and drivers are home daily. The role offers consistent weekday schedules, paid training, and hourly compensation of $28–$30 based on experience.

Requirements

• Valid CDL Class A license with HazMat endorsement.
• Clean driving record and strong safety history.
• Minimum of 1 year of commercial driving experience.
• Ability to lift and move 50+ pounds.
• Ability to perform physical work throughout the day, including loading, unloading, and moving gas cylinders.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely deliver gas cylinders and welding equipment to customer locations.
• Load, secure, and unload delivery vehicles.
• Perform required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Complete deliveries accurately, safely, and on schedule.
• Provide professional, courteous customer service at every stop.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety procedures at all times.
