About The Position

We are seeking a dependable and efficient CDL Class A Boom Truck Driver who will deliver and unload building materials (drywall, steel studs, roofing materials, etc.) to various local work sites on a daily basis. Home every night. LKL Associates is a Utah-based, family-owned company with more than 10 locations across Utah, Idaho, and Colorado. Since 1978, LKL has been an industry leader in delivering building materials while consistently going above and beyond to serve our customers. In 2021, LKL opened a CDL school at our West Jordan-UT location, creating opportunities for employees to obtain their Class A CDL. Qualified candidates are employed while attending the program and incur no training costs upon completing a three-year employment commitment. This investment reflects our long-standing tradition of helping employees grow and advance within the company. After graduating from the CDL school, employees may also have the opportunity to receive training on our articulating boom cranes. LKL takes pride in promoting from within. Every manager in the company started in an operational or customer-facing role, such as a Delivery Helper, CDL Driver, Forklift Operator, or Customer Service Representative. Requirements

  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
  • A clean driving record and 3 years of driving experience
  • Must be organized, detail-oriented and comfortable working independently
  • This is a physical job, must be able to lift 100 pounds regularly
  • This is a very fast paced environment. Job located outdoors so dealing with all types of weather is necessary
  • Team player

Nice To Haves

  • Boom experience recommended
  • Bilingual Spanish/English a plus

Responsibilities

  • Deliver building materials in a safe and timely manner
  • Load and unload building materials at multiple job sites locally
  • Confirm inventory load on truck prior to delivery. Confirm address on delivery ticket
  • Ensure load is properly and safely secured
  • Perform a pre-trip inspection
  • Ensure smooth, on-time delivery of products and building material and place material where customers direct
  • Load and unload roofing materials onto/off a truck to requested location
